The Invitation to Surrender
Have you ever been brave enough to travel to a foreign country without knowing where you would go or where you would stay? That was the invitation before us. It began with an intuitive pull to go to England. Naturally, I started planning. Erik asked about the itinerary, and because I love making plans, I was already working on it. Then we receiveda clear message from our guides: no plans. Could we be courageous enough to let the Universe direct our steps and revealthe journey as we moved? For me, that question touched something deep. Letting go of control, not knowing where we would sleep, and surrendering the need to organize every detail brought old programming to the surface. My inner control freak was challenged. My “do it right to be a good girl” pattern was asked to rest. Even the fear of ending up without a place to stay came forward. And yet, beneath the fear, something in both of us felt alive, exhilarated, and ready for the adventure.
A Small Safety Net
So I made only the barest arrangements: a hotel for the first night and a rental car so we could follow wherever we feltled. It was enough structure to get us started, but not enough to feel fully in control. With that small safety net and a wide-open path ahead, we were off to London.
When the Body Speaks
As soon as we stepped off the plane, my body began speaking. I was having difficulty walking, and pain had returned to my knees for the first time in years. I knew this pain; it felt like an old friend arriving with a familiar message. For me, knee pain had always been connected to hesitation about moving forward. Now here I was, in a foreign country, with no real plan and no idea what would happen next. I could feel the fear in my body. Because I recognized it, I began reassuring my knees that we were safe and that everything would be okay. They were not convinced right away.
The Plan Falls Away
That lesson deepened almost immediately. At the airport, we found the rental car shuttle stop and waited for what felt like a very long time. The delay already felt strangely surreal, as though the journey were slowing us down on purpose. When we finally arrived at the rental counter, we learned there was no reservation in the system under our name—and no cars available. Just like that, the one piece of control I had tried to keep was gone.
Choosing to Move Forward
So, it began. Without a car, I had no idea how much walking would be required, and my knees were already protesting. Yet beneath the discomfort, I could see the pattern clearly: get sick, stay home, stay safe. But safety had often come at the cost of truly living. This time, I did not want my body’s fear to choose the experience for me. I kept speaking gently to my knees, reminding them that we were going to be okay and that we were still allowed to move forward.
The Blessing in the Detour
With the car no longer an option, Erik quickly checked ChatGPT to see how we could get to Bath, where our first hotel was waiting. We discovered we could take either a bus or a train, then returned to the airport and found a coach bus headed that way. Once we settled into our seats, the disappointment began to shift. What had first felt like a problem became a blessing. Instead of navigating unfamiliar roads and driving on the opposite side, we were able to sit back, breathe, and watch the countryside open around us.
Bath as a Place of Healing
When we arrived in Bath, the Universe greeted us with tenderness. Our hotel had upgraded us to a room with a larger bed and a spacious bathtub, exactly what my body needed. The space gave us room to soften, breathe with the land, and begin listening for where we were being led next. Soaking in the bath water—Bath being known for its healing Roman baths—helped my knee begin to relax. It was not ready to release the old story completely, but it was beginning to trust. Bath became a place of reset. In gratitude, we held ceremony and brought light into the water, allowing the energy and codes moving through us to bless the land. We often find that the Universe leads us to grid work where there is water. Water helps us remember, receives the energy that comes through us, and carries it into the land. In our ceremonies, we include Sacred Sexuality, magnifying our intentions through the creative union of the divine feminine and divine masculine. We have been shown that this practice amplifies the energy in a powerful way.

Opening to the Next Thread
Bath was the perfect place to recover from the long flight and ease into a new way of being in an unfamiliar country. As we walked its streets, my knees became more tolerable, and I began to understand that the journey was already showing me what needed to be seen. Before coming to the United Kingdom, I had received a vision of us walking with our suitcases. I thought that vision was the reason I needed to secure a car. Instead, it had been preparing me for exactly what was unfolding. Everywhere we were led, another layer of us was revealed. Bath had softened us, steadied us, and opened the door to the magic ahead, for the journey through the United Kingdom. With a little more trust in our bodies, the land, and the guidance moving through the trip, we were ready to follow the next thread onward…to Glastonbury.
